Friday or Saturday, August 5 or 6 we are encouraging the Art of Neighboring Backyard BBQs around the Quad Cities…in your neighborhood. The idea is to have others who live close by partner with a host home and invite your neighbors. We can help design and print invitations that you can give to neighbors…whether you invite them all or just a select few whom you have met and have been praying for. To date we have 8 host homes representing Moline [B&M Poston, Walas], Rock Island [C&E Dailing, Moores], Davenport [Oles-east, Gueberts-west] and Bettendorf [Geyers, Zimmermans]. If you live close to them, call them up and let them know you’d like to partner with them. We’d love to see Milan and Coal Valley added to the locations. If two or three families gather and then each invite two or three neighbors, you’ll have a crowd. In the BLESS sequence…having Begun with prayer and Listened to neighbors, this moves you to Eating together…you are building relationships that as guided by the Holy Spirit will open doors for significant and appropriate conversations about spiritual things. Your primary assignment is to be hospitable and let the love of Jesus flow through you. All of us can do that.
